Finca Santa Elisa Pachup // San Pedro Yepocapa, Chimaltenago, Guatemala
Washed Bourbon varital // 1200 - 1700 masl

In 2024, we had the privilege of returning to the San Pedro Yepocapa valley after several years sourcing from the Antigua side of the vast Acatenango / Volcán de Fuego system. Our homies at Los Volcanes Coffee (LVC) connected us with the incredible team at Finca Santa Elisa, and it was love at first sip ... and sight.

Santa Elisa Pachup is a sprawling estate tucked on the western slopes of Acatenango and the famously active Volcán de Fuego (yep, it lives up to the name). In total, the estate spans 506 hectares, with roughly 360 hectares planted in coffee, making it a critical economic engine for the San Pedro Yepocapa community.

But that scale didn’t always translate to success. Back in 2017, Santa Elisa was only producing around 700 quintales of cherry, which is a surprisingly low volume for a farm of this size. That's when LVC came alongside the estate and led a huge push to re-invest in the land through improved agricultural management, progressive replanting, and upgraded processing infrastructure has transformed the farm’s output. Today, Santa Elisa is producing closer to 34,000 quintales of cherry, a comeback story in the truest sense.

This microlot is a single-variety Bourbon, traditionally washed to highlight clarity and sweetness. The high-altitude volcanic soils lend elegance, while careful processing brings out a clean, composed cup with warm, nostalgic comfort.

Expect notes of chocolate + caramel (think carmellos!) alongside a gentle pop of dried apricot. Smooth, sweet, and deeply crowd-pleasing, this coffee bridges everyday drinkability with just enough complexity to keep you reaching for another cup.
